MY GYM

I decided enrolling Logan in a gym class would be fun for us to do as a family on the weekend and great for Logan to have some social interaction around other children his age. I also wanted to go so we can work on some activities that Logan is not fond of: transitioning and having his hands manipulated. There is a My Gym near our house so this Saturday we sat in on their morning class. The initial class was free for us to come in and see if we wanted to sign up. The class is from 9-10 which isn't the best time for Logan's schedule since he usually has a morning snack at 9 and then naps from 9:30-11. The staff was super nice and it was a decent turn out of little ones (probably about 9). The activities included centers that were set up to explore, circle time, centers that were lead by staff, alone play, and then another circle. Logan was the tantrum king when it was time to switch centers, sit in circle time, have his hands do the motions, etc. but this is exactly why I wanted to get into something like this. His tantrums might be related to lactose intolerance (we are currently experimenting so I will get into that another post). Overall, the first class was rough but I signed us up so I am hoping each one will go a little smoother! The cutest moment during the class was Logan meeting this little 9 month old girl. They were just looking at each other, Logan bent over looking up all shy, and then they both went along there way. During center Logan ended up at the same one as the little girl he met at the beginning of class and gave her his open mouthed version of a kiss (most importantly without using his teeth)!

Logan's 1st Birthday Party

Logan turned 1 on July 14th! We had his birthday party on the Saturday before his birthday. Logan gets constant enjoyment out of watching and chasing after his 2 loyal companions (Mr. Bosworth and Ms. Pinkerton), so it wasn't a hard choice to make when thinking of his party theme. The color scheme was navy and white. Logan had a blast with all his friends and all the great presents he received. He wasn't too fond of the cake, but I am sure that will change with time.
