More Good Eats with Logan

Can you find Logan's breakfast? I guess that is one way you can eat it!

Logan eats yogurt and ice cream now. We had a sweet treat after a day of "Summer Splash" The next afternoon when I picked him up I offered him 2 snack items and he asked to go get ice cream! Ha! I am in trouble now. We didn't go and he settled for something that I had brought in the car.

Logan's First Sandwich

Logan finally ate a sandwich for the first time last Monday. Well I got him to eat half of it! I was so proud of him. The sandwich was on wheat bread shaped like a goldfish cracker, a thin slice of cheese and his favorite uncured app-l pepperonis (those huge ones). He still hasn't gotten the hand of keeping it all together, getting it in the mouth, biting, etc.

Pool Time

Phoebe Tries Rice Cereal

Phoebe tried rice cereal for the first time Thursday night. As you can see she enjoyed the experience. I haven't done it again. I need to get better about it and more scheduled. I want to do it in the morning (she first tried it at night so Brian could be home).

May 2012

May was a busy month. We are always busy these days. Logan is talking so much and Phoebe seems to change daily.
I went to pick up Logan from school and he was wearing this. Ha! He had gotten wet and they had all ready sent home the extra pair of clothes since it was the last week of school. I'm pretty sure he was a little embarrassed.

Yep, Logan contracted a staph infection. It appears he some skin irritation that started around his mouth. He would sometimes stick his fingers in his mouth and suck on them and I think the saliva on his face was irritating it (you know like little babies get those bumps around the mouth). Then at school he fell off a swing because he went to swing on his stomach and overshot the swing. He scratched up his chin pretty good and the doctor thinks that got infected and the mouth stuff turned to staph and then it appeared in his leg or something. It went away for a while and then came back around his mouth so we had to do a longer round of antibiotics a few times a day. His tummy was sore from the medicines but other than that he was fine. We are so lucky it wasn't anything worse!

Giving Mr. Bos bunny ears. He is always down for whatever.

Shaking his booty all the time. He yells "shake your BOOTEEEEY" while shaking it!

He loves Buzz Lightyear and he has been doing all sorts of pretend play with action figures. Here we are with Buzz and Buzz.

Phoebe got in on some Buzz action.

Bosworth had bloody stool all over the place on Mother's Day. We had to rush him to the animal hospital. Of course, it was a Sunday so we had to pay double. Oh well, it was worth it! Bosworth had a lot of air in his stomach, abdominal pain, was a little dehydrated and had an upset GI tract. They said he probably ate something that irritated his GI system...some mention of something colitis... I don't know. A bunch of meds for a week and now he is all good!

Playing together :)

Yes, he put shredded cheese on watermelon. Once he had a taste he passed it up front to Brian telling him it was "dirty."

Logan and Lizzie in the house fort

Jumping on the bed. I watched Lizzie while her parents and my hubby were at a wedding shower for a friend.
 Movie Time
They love to have Popsicle together. Of course, their attention doesn't last long so they end up leaving them to go play.

First time wearing sunglasses...it didn't go well.

Always doing something with those hands. She moved her hands all the time before she was born. What a silly face!

Daddy builds the best house forts. Logan got strep throat this month too and he asked me to build a house fort. After I did it he chased me around the house slapping at me saying "Build a better house fort!" Ha! I didn't even know he knew the word better and could use it appropriately. He is saying some hilarious things these days.

Logan was a little too concerned with his hands being "DIRTY!" and a "MESS" to really enjoy the activity.

Summer Break Begins

Logan's best friend (Lizzie) came over on his first weekday out of school. He was out of school  for 2 weeks. He will be going to "Summer Splash" from 9-2:30 3 days a week for 6 weeks. He is out the entire month of August. We had a blast playing outside in the front yard.

Hanging out in the front yard (we are making over our backyard right now-making it usable).

 Watermelon and goldfish...yummy!

Phoebe watching Logan fill the pool. Lizzie and Logan had so much fun taking turns.

They kept saying how cold it was so they played with it like a water table until it warmed up a little bit.
Phoebe enjoyed hanging out in the tent with her new fan.

They would just stand up and count or say ready, set, go and jump up and land sitting in the pool. They thought this was the best game ever! I think they really enjoyed all the splashing. This was the only one I could show of them in the pool. Logan had a hard time understanding that it was not like bath time. He was adamant that he be nude...of course during one of these times someone with a stroller walks by. A lot of the neighbors enjoyed seeing the kiddos having fun in the yard.

They were both worn out!

Pink Lemonade Shower for Katherine

I along with 5 other sweet ladies hosted a baby shower for my dear friend Katherine. She will be welcoming baby girl, Georgia Estelle, in July. I cannot wait! She is going to be an awesome mom. Phoebe and Georgia will be almost 6 months apart and will start school at the same time. It will be so fun to see them grow up together. I am sure they will become fast friends!
