Halloween 2011

This was the first Halloween that Logan attempted to really trick or treat. In the past we always drove him to a few friends homes and dressed him up. He was Chicken Little this year (from his favorite movie). He did not want to wear the chicken head piece but he did wear the rest. His school had a Halloween parade on the Thursday before Halloween and then on Halloween. He attended both because he goes Monday through Friday. The first one he wore his Chicken Little costume-one of his teachers got him to wear the head by carrying him. On Halloween he wore his Batman shirt with cape in the parade. He did well until he saw us-we hugged him and said goodbye for him to keep walking. He made it about 5 feet and crumpled to the ground crying :( We of course got him and walked with him the rest of the way. Halloween night all of our neighbors gathered in our cul de sac with a fire pit, tables of food and a table for bowls of candy so that the kids could choose a piece from each bowl. This was kinda cool since they didn't have to walk up to all the houses. I think the dogs missed out a little since they love to bark each time the door bell rings and we get a lot of trick or treaters. We took Logan around our neighborhood. Some adults were dressed up on the porch (which scared him a little), he enjoyed a neighbors spooky house and was excited to run around at night. He understood that you were too knock on the door and take an item and put it in the bucket. He also got that it was called candy but had no idea except when he saw a sucker and candy corn and his eye lit up! He would get nervous when people opened the door and would sometime require assistance from his dad. If people just left a bowl outside of their house he would still knock and then try to open their door-ha! He had a fun time and it took him quite a long time to fall asleep that night. He slept in till 8:30 the next morning. Too bad we both had to go to work and were anxiously waiting for him to wake. I think next year he will have even more fun and totally get the candy isn't just an item you collect in your bucket.

The first Halloween parade at school.

Right before he crumpled to the ground. He is the one in the Batman shirt.

Trick or Treating in our neighborhood.

Watering the plants seemed like a good idea to Logan when he was done trick or treating.

Pumpkin Time at Gentry's Farm

This was our second year of going to Gentry's farm. Logan enjoyed some of the activities and purchased a little pumpkin. He was frustrated that he could walk up to the chickens and birds cages but wasn't supposed to put his fingers in the cage (signs warned of pecking). He also thought you could pick any pumpkin you wanted to even from the displays. He loved the truck that was set up for pictures with gourds, hay, corn and pumpkins. He really wanted to swing on the big tire swings but they were way to big and high for him. After the farm we enjoyed some pizza at Mellow Mushroom in Franklin with our friends the Atnips and Wells.

October 2011-Zoo Time

We decided to enjoy a nice Fall day at the zoo. Logan enjoyed the petting zoo, carousel, close encounter of a giraffe (wish I had gotten a picture) and an interesting encounter with the flamingos. All of the flamingos were worked up over something and were fighting/pecking at each other in groups. I have some video of them all chatting and one got so close to us I was worried about Logan losing a finger :)

September 2011

Bathing Pinkerton. She has bad skin allergies so we have to wash her a lot.

I got spotted! His teachers take a lot of pictures of him at school so he loves to yell cheese when I pull out the camera.

Logan loves his "teddy." He sleeps with him and takes him on all sorts of adventures. It is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. He loves to give him love and the other day I saw him pretending to feed him when he was sitting next to him at the island during snack time.

We hosted the UT vs. FL game at our house. We loved having all our friends and their kiddos over. It was so cute seeing all the little ones in orange.

I can't believe we are going to have a little baby girl soon like one of these cuties!

Everett and Brian enjoying the newly painted deck. Brian did all the work himself. It looks fabulous and we have spent tons of time on it!

All the little ones loved putting their hands in the cooler to play with the ice. They also loved to chase the "puppies." You can see Bosworth trying to hide behind Brian.

Doesn't Batman vacuum your house?

The Batman shirt is the first piece of clothing Brian has ever picked out for Logan. He was quite proud of the pick and I love it. It has a little cape off the back that you can see in the vacuum picture. Anything he does in this shirt just looks cuter because of the cape. I laughed all day. Maybe I should make him wear it more :)

Multi-taskers

Sean came over for a visit one night and Logan was obsessed. Sean had to help put Logan to bed.

We are having a GIRL!

Our newest addition will be a GIRL! Many people were predicting a girl, but I really thought it was a boy! Brian and I were both in shock at the ultrasound. I am still adjusting to the news. We are excited and nervous about having a girl. When we went for the ultrasound the baby had her feet crossed and wedged in between her legs. It took several attempts but the tech finally got a view. I was in totally disbelief and asked her to check several times. Then when I went back to talk with my doctor I asked her if she thought it was a girl and she claimed their ultrasound person had never been wrong. I can just imagine Logan teasing her like the mischievous monkey he is and baby girl running around dressing up the dogs! Ha! The ultrasound tech did do a 4d picture which was cool but still looks a little weird due to the age of the baby. I have to have another ultrasound at my next visit because they weren't able to see everything they were supposed to check.

Go Ducks!

Logan started his new preschool at First Presbyterian Church of Nashville. He is enrolled in the M,W,F and T,TH class. He is in the duck class. He and one other little girl are the only ducks who are full timers :) His dear friend Lizzie goes to this school too. I will need to get more pictures of his first day from Courtney because she took some really great ones of him. He was so excited his first day. When I told him goodbye he turned around, waved and blew me kisses. He did get in a little trouble the second day (he bit someone). Luckily, that has not happened again. His teachers say he has all ready learned the classroom routines and that he is talking more each day.

He loves the window area and science area.

Talking on the Phone

Logan loves to talk on a phone. Actually he likes to turn just about anything into a phone and pretend to talk on it. He has been doing this since before he was two but now he is a lot more vocal. If you put him up to a real phone and someone is talking he freezes up and doesn't say anything. He is usually talking into pretend and old cell phones.

Big Brother

Logan is going to be a big brother soon! We are expecting our newest addition at the end of January. My due date is February 3rd; however due to me having a c-section scheduled it will be a week or so earlier. Logan loves to point at and label babies but I am not to sure how he is going to enjoy having one living with us and getting a lot of our attention. I am pretty sure Mr. Bosworth and Ms. Pinkerton might move out when we bring the new one home :)

We took an Intelligender test and you can see the results below. This is just a fun test that is in no way definite on predicting baby gender. We took one with Logan and it correctly predicted boy. By reading reviews online I did find out that everyone who got a wrong reading was told boy and they had a girl, so it appears the test predicts boy more than girl. We should find out early September! I can't wait to find out if Logan is going to have a brother or sister!

Another Zoo Trip

We went to the Zoo again. I wanted to take Logan back to the zoo to go around the other loop, ride the train and because Brian was working last time we went. Logan now claps and says "yay" when we pull up to some places which is really cute (regardless of whether he knows the place or not). It has been super hot here so we only went for about an hour and half right when the zoo opened.
