Christmas was when we decided to tell our family that we were expecting a baby. It was pretty hard to keep the secret, but we did it. We went to Florida to enjoy the Christmas holidays with Brian's parents and brother. We were going to try and wait to tell them Christmas morning, but here were a few offers on there things we could do: power weight lifting class, Busch Gardens (roller coasters), new seafood restaurant (yum, mercury). I also was feeling extremely exhausted every day, so I decided we had to break the news as soon as his brother was in town. I had bought a picture frame from
Swoozie's which you will see below in the pics. I put our first ultrasound in it and wrapped it up. The Tuesday before Christmas we told them we had an early Christmas present for them. Below are the pictures in a time line. It took Brian's dad at least another minute to catch on after everyone-he thought it was some sort of gag gift, didn't read the top of the frame, and didn't understand what was in the picture. It gave us all quite a good laugh!

We enjoyed the warm weather and took the dogs to the dog beach several times. The water wasn't that cold, but we didn't get in. I also dragged everyone to the movies since I love to go during the holidays (Brian despises the movie theater). We saw Benjamin Button-I think I was the only one who enjoyed it. I caught a little cold while I was there so I slept a lot! We had a great Christmas morning. I always get to play Santa and hand out gifts. We open one at a time and take a picture each gift-maybe a little excessive, but fun. Here are a few pics from Christmas morning. I can't wait for next Christmas with Baby Rauscher.
