There is some confusion to how far along I am. Maybe people with experience with pregnancy can leave their feedback. My body is pretty much like clockwork so when I went to the doctor the first time they predicted July 24th as my due date. This meant I was about 6 weeks 6 days at the time. My doctor then did an ultrasound and measured the baby (a.k.a. grain of rice). When she measured the baby she was like "oh, I think the baby is a week younger than we thought it looks like it's 5 weeks 6 days." I was thinking maybe my baby is just going to be petite. She stated that it was close enough that she still wouldn't change my due date. Ever since that visit she has been going by the due date and not the measurement (of course she just may not remember). I have been doing the opposite but am beginning to think I should go by the due date. So do we trust mathematical calculations of my clockwork body or do we trust the measurement of the teeny tiny baby?
Below are my first tummy shots. Don't make fun of the outfit. It consists of one size larger work out pants so I can wear the same thing while I expand and a Bella Band around my chest. I wasn't going to wear a bikini. I am either 13 weeks 6 days or 14 weeks 6 days in the picture below. I am thinking I am the latter of the two.

I don't know how far along you are, but you are as big as my thigh! I SEE A LITTLE RAUSCHER GROWING!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey really don't know until you get your ultrasound around 18-20 weeks. Babies can have growth/development spurts. Everett always measured ahead of schedule on ultrasound (between 4-6 days). He arrived 5 days before his due date. I'd wait to see what the "big" ultrasound says and go from there.
